He who can not recite the above mentioned chapters usually, should recite the Surat As-Sajda and Surat Al-waqi'a every night. To recite Surat Yasin and Surat Ra'ad in the presence of one who going to die is also desirable. Moreover these all have proved by the authentic narrations.

The Holly Qur'an: Beauty of Beauties

Rose flower, How beautiful it is! We can not avoid a look at an abloom flower even while suffering from any tension .Its aroma and beauty pass through our eyes and souls. We only need some sense of beauty to feel it. The sense of beauty is also a peculiarity which differentiates human beings from other living beings. But this flower has some demerits as well.
One: Transience. Flower is mortal. It is short-lived even if it is so beautiful and attractive.
Second: Interruption of sacredness. Some times the parts, or roots of a colourful lovely flower may be in a waste bin. At least wastes may be their food. It is a sore truth which causes wane to enjoyment.

Third: Loss in value. Rose flower has of course pleasant smell and beauty. But, it has no value. It doesn't have numerical value of gold. If the lovely flower which is spreading good smell were made of gold it would have beauty and value. But not .If the flower is made of gold? It is a common character of any elegant figure in the world. Internal and external trappings are not getting reconcieled to each other. Can we see here anything that has value both inside and outside? Is there a perfect beauty which is not mixed with imperfect things? No.

But the Qur'an which is the words of Allah is the beauty without frailty. Both its inside and outside are pure, graceful, majestic and immortal. Since the Qur'an is like a flower that has loveliness, value and sacredness in its in and out it never puts the enjoyers under disappointment. It is powerful and imperial to feel for ever and spread satisfaction. Exact and integral truths, tact usages, words and sentences! Highly attractive and admirable idioms from top to bottom. These three qualities are very important and the truthfulness doesn't deserve any consideration. The truth which is mingled with lie also belongs to this type. So any messages for human guidance should not only be a truth but be a completely sacred truth itself. The truth that is presented with laziness and carelessness is also likely to lead into danger. The presenter must have perfect cautiousness and acute vigilance. There should be tactic idioms and usages. While presenting in rough style without the sense of beauty it may cause to the loss or wound to the importance and attraction of truth. Qur'an is the only Veda in the world which presents perfect truth in tactic style by extra elegance idiom.

"No falsehood can approach it From before or behind it. It is sent down By One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise". (The Holy Qur'an 41/42)

We seat down the (Qur'an) In Truth, and in Truth Has it descended: and We sent The but to give Glad Tidings and to warm ( sinners) (The Holy Qur'an)

Universally recognized scientific inferences , laws and instructions constitutions have been amended in any of its ideas . The holy Qur'an has not been subjected to even a single amendment. All the things like the ideas, languages ,idioms etc… in the Qur'an are the whole of beauty in its every meaning. Those who accept the Qur'an acquires the spiritual, cultural and civilized to have their aim, way and result in utter goodness are concerned, the Qur'an is an indispensable guide.

" To those who do right Is a goodly (reward) Yea, more (than in measure) (The Holy Qur'an 10/26) (Our religion)

"Takes its hue from Allah And who can give a better hue than Allah. It is He. Whom we worship" ( The Holy Qur'an 2/138)

"But who so ever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed Down, and we shall raise Him up blind on the Day of judgment" (The Holy Qur'an20/124).

"And who does more wrong than one to whom are recited The Sings of his Lord, And who then turns away There from? Verily from those who transgress we shall exact ( Due) Retribution.

The Prophet has said that the life that does not cope or adjust with Qur'an is very pureless and dangerous

Holy Qur'an is the ideal of excellent and superb loveliness. Graceful faith, smart activities , good characters are what the Holy Qur'an wants from people. Good rewards the most lovely heaven that is what the Qur'an promises. Look at a few examples of lovely messages which are highlighted by the Qur'an.

Beauty of truth

"But Allah has endeared The Faith to you, and Has made it beautiful in your hearts". ( The Holy Qu-ran 49/7)

Loveliness of Duties

"Good is (the reward) For those who do good in this world" (The Holy Qur'an 39/10). "For those who believe And work righteousness, Is (every) blessedness, And a beautiful place of (final) return" (The Holy Qur'an 13/29). In the perspective of the Qur'an, life itself is a beautiful experiment.

"Blessed be He in whose hands is Dominion; And He over all things Hath power; He who created Death and Life , that He may try which of you is best in deed"(The Holy Qu-ran67/1,2). To copy the loveliness of Islam and Qur'an into ones personality and soat is the most sacred beauty. Absorbe it, proud of it and stand for it. "Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) To Allah, works righteousness, And says , "I am of those who bow in Islam"? (The Holy Qur'an 41/33)

There are fake beauties that conceal and destroy the real beauty. One should be careful for not to be cheated by it. The Qu-ran awakes those who are sleeping being intoxicated in the fake beauty of this mortal world. The Qu-ran also exhorts the people to think awake with stead fastness to overcome devilish beauty that disrupts real beauty. "Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons: Heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses Branded (for blood and excellence); And (wealth of) cattle And well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; But with Allah is the best of the goals (To return to) (The Holy Qur'an 3/14).

The Genesis and Revelation of the holy Qur'an

The holy Qur'an is the book revealed to the last Prophet (Peace be upon him) through the Angel jibreel (A). The Qur'an -Kalam (words) of Allah- is the most reciting, hearing and learning by heart book. It has many distinctive features. Its reciting itself is Ibadath (worship) which is avail to those who know its meaning and those who not. The whole of Qur'an has been know by Thavathur (The facts handed over through such a group of people, there is no possibility of assembling all of them in false is called Thavatur). The sacred Qur'an is the 'Mu'ajiz' (what is beyond the capacity of human). It is called so, because it has succeeded in its challenge that no one can produce even a single Sura (chapter) like this.
The holy Qur'an is the last book sent down by Almighty Allah and it will last till the doomsday. With the revelation of the Qur'an all past scriptures were abrogated. Though believing in all of them is obligatory, the rules and regulations in them are not connected with us. The alterations and corruptions taken place in the past scriptures will not be occurred in case of the holy Qur'an. Because the Almighty God has taken upon the duty of preserving it for ever in its entirety as He says " we have without doubt sent down the message, and we will assuredly guard it. It is not permissible to read or write the past scriptures now available as these were corrupted and altered by men. But it is permissible to eligible and expert scholars only for criticizing and opposing them.

The holy Qur'an has been recorded in Lahul Mahfoodh (Preserved Plates) in the seventh sky. From there it was fully sent down firstly to 'Baithul Izza' of the first sky which happened in the night of Qadhr on the holy month of Ramadhan. Later it was sent down timely from the Baithul Izza to the prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) through the angel Jibril (Peace upon him) during the period of twenty three years. So, the Qura'n has two revelations. The first one is for publicizing its greatness among the inhabitants of skies. There have many secrets in the second timely revelation. One of them is to make the process of learning Qur'an by heart very easy to the Prophet (PBH) from the Angel Jibril (A) and to the Companions from the Prophet(PBH).

Jibril (A) comes occasionally with the message (wahy) from Almighty to increase the happiness of Rasullah (PBH), to make him peace of mind, to implement the rules of Islam one by one and to reveal the rules and regulation of things and deeds in accordance with their happenings.

The Order of holy Qura'n

The Quran has two types of orders to the Holy Quran One: Tharthibuthilavah (Recitation order). This is the order that is seen in 'Mushafs'(holy books) and accepted by the Muslim world till today. In Lauhul Mahful too Qura'n is recorded in this order.

Two: Tharthibul Nusul (Order of revelation)

It was according to incidents and situations that Qura'n was introduced through Gabriel. This is called Tharthibul Nusul. This is different from Tharthibuthi lava. Yet when each 'Ayath' was introduced, Gabriel taught Prophet and Prophet in turn taught swahabis to add tose verses. Where and in which suras. In the same way is the order of suras. It was 'Ikrah Bismi' that first came in the Qura'n and the last was the 281st verseof surathul Bukra. The introduction of Qura'n was completed by twenty three years. The part of Qura'n that came before Hijra is called Makiyy'and that after Hijra is called 'Madaniyy'. For example, surathul Fathiha is 'Makkiyy' and Surathul Bakra is Madaniyy. What happened between 6 A.D and 12 A.D in the history of Arabs is amazing. Let us listen to the words of the famous scientific historian George Sartan.

"It is in Arabic that most fundamental and ideologically rich books were written. Arabic was the language of science of the human race between the half of eight century to the end of eleventh century. During that period, if one needed to acquire the latest knowledge he had to learn Arabic. Hence, we can remember a few great geniuses who had no equals in the western world like JabirubinuHayyan, Allundli, Alkharismi, Alfurgani, Alrasi, Sabithubnukureeh, Albathami, HunainubnuIshak, Alfarabi, Ibrahimubnusiman, AlMasaudi, Twabri, Abdulvafa, Aliyubnu Isa, Algasali, Al sarkali, Al Khallkhi, Ibnu Al Jassar, Al Biruni, Ibnu seena, Ibnu Yunus, Al Sarkhali, Ummar Khayyam. There is no difficulty in lengthening this list to any extend. If any one tells you that middle age was barren in the field of science just tell them the names of these people. They all lived in the short period between 750 and 1100 A.D.

Qur'an and Astronomy

Astronomy is called 'Ilmul Hai-a' in Arabic. It is also known as 'Ilmunnujoom' and Ilmul Falak in the Muslims world. The branch of astronomy which studies the direction and the time is known as 'Ilmul Meeqath'. Before the spread of Islam these scientific branches had not been studied in the Arabia like all other ancient societies stars and planets were worshipped by the Arabs. They relied the rising and settings of stars to discover directions which were very useful for them to their nocturnal journey's in the mirage. They could also predict the changes in climate by observing the stars. Beyond these, they were ignorant of the planets and their movements. The advent of Islam in Arabia started a new era of knowledge explosion, mainly the field of Astronomy.
There are two reasons for this (1)The importance given by Qura'n to Astronomy (2)The study of astronomy was inevitable to know the prayer time and to find out the direction of Qibla.

Qura'n as a motivator

The earth and the sky are the creature of God and they came into existence according to his will. This is the Islamic view on creature, Qura'n says (6/72). The universe is moving according to his will and He is controller and the custodian of all in it- He confirms it in Qura'n (7/54). Declaring these facts Qura'n relieved the weak mind of ancient man from pulling the natural phenomenon on the altar of worship. Qura'n made the universe an open book in front of the human beings. Qura'n led the human minds to the wonders of deistical world (21/33, 41/12). Qura'n repeated by urging man to study and ponder over the wonder ful system of universe and to understand the ultimate reality (13/2,3). Man begins to think as he feels the phenomena on the earth and sees the wonders in the sky when his thought is got energized the doors of knowledge will be widely opened in front of them (3/190). This is the model of Quran's thought provocation like this in many places in many words Qura'n has awakened man's power of thinking.

Astronomy and the daily life of Muslims

In the day to day life of Muslims study of astronomy is inevitable. This resulted in the development of this discipline in the Muslim world. The movement of sun and its attitude must be studied to calculate the worship time of five Prayers when Masjids are built the direction of 'Qibla' has to be discovered. The ancient Muslims invented different methods to make their calculation. The people who goes for Hajj had to know the direction of Qibla for their 'Ihram' more over they had know the direction to make their propagation journeys. These facts made astronomy very useful Muslims. So its study became the part of religious study.

Muslims adopted the Hijri calendar, which is based on lunar movements. The religions occasions such as fast and Hajj are performed in tune with this calendar. When this calendar is followed the toughness and easiness of performed this worship in different climates will be affected to any one in any corner of the world. At the same time Muslims followed solar calendar for their agricultural needs. The solar calendar developed by Muslims scientists in Cordova gained great popularity.

Knowledge collection and systemic studies

During the Abbasiyya reign in the second half of 8th century knowledge collection in large scale and the systemic study of them are started in Baghdad. Scientific knowledge followed to Baghdad from Greek, Persian, Syrian and Indian sources. Several books were translated from Greek and Sanskrit in to Arabic. Observatories were made in public and private sections, with in a century Bagdad became the biggest astronomical study centre in the world and scientists began to stay there. In the 11th and 12th centuries Muslims Spain also turned in to an astronomical centre.

The famous book of Ptolemy, 'Megale syntacxed mathematica' had more than one translation in Arabic in third century itself. The translations of Ghunyanu ibn Ishaq and Thabith bn qurrha are well known. The other book of Ptolemy such as 'Tabulae manutes' 'Hypothses planetorum', 'phinispharium' and tetra biblos are also translated into Arabic in this period. Muslims in those times were not ready to use the tables and schedules of Ptolemy as it is. They indulged in long term observations in order to get more clear assumptions some scientists had made 40 years long researches on some complicated problems. Main centers of these researches were Baghdad, Samarqand, Nishapur, Cordova, Damascus and Rayy. The researches of Muslims scientists such as Nazirudheen Thoosi and Kuthubudheen Sheerazi can point out the mistakes in the existing theories of Ptolemy. Essays criticizing the theories of Ptolemy were written in Arabic. In the 13th and 14th centuries studies of astronomy reached its zenith in the Muslims world. In this period several books on astronomy were translated from Arabic to Latin and Hebrew. Books on every branches of astronomy were published. AlFarghani's large volume, kithab 'Herakathi Samaviyya val Javami-ul Ilmu nnujoom' is well known. Abdurahmanu ibn Sufi's ' Suvarul Kavakib' had helped a great deal the later studies in astronomy. In edition to the Muslims scholars, Arab Jews and Christians gave their contributions to the development of Astronomy.

The Holy Qura'n and Geography

The Holy Qur'an acquainted Muslims with the pristine beauty of the mountains, valleys, deserts, woods, oceans, streams, and a variety of winds. This was the reason why Muslim intellectuals were allured to the discipline of geography, as it was Qur'an's exhortations that drew them to Astronomy. Both these disciplines have played a pivotal role in the remarkable expansion of Islamic civilization.
Travel, passion for which is an ingredient of Arab blood, is another major topic of discussion in the Holy Scriptures. As an essential driving force of humanity's existence, the urge for travel and migration has much to do with the genesis and expansion of geography.

The Holy Qura'n reflects on how winter and summer constitute the best of climes for a trip: "For the familiarity of the Quraish, their familiarity with the journeys by winter and summer, let them worship the Lord of this house who provides them with food against hunger and security against fear (of danger)" (chapter : 106).

Qura'n gave more incentive for traveling which was already an important part of Arab's life. "Say, travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who rejected truth" (6:11).

"Do they not travel through the land, so that their heart (and minds) may thus learn wisdom, and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts which are in their breasts" (22:46).

Thus journey for exploring new horizons of knowledge became a part of Muslim intellectual's life. This has opened up new vistas in geographical studies.

Long trips by Muslim scholars for propagating Islam were another aspect of Arab Muslim journey. This expedition which often encountered resistance culminating in Holy wars was the part and parcel of their life. To cap it all, Hajj was the great pilgrimage recurring every year. The holy Makkah became the destination of people, cutting across geographic, racial and gender divides. Describing the nature of this pilgrimage Qura'n says: "And proclaim the pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every camel, lean (on account of the journeys) through deep and distant mountain highways" (22.27)

All these trips were important geographical expeditions too. Since people in large numbers from Arabian Peninsula, Egypt, Morocco, India, Italy, Spain, Mesopotamia, and Greece embraced Islam, it was very much convenient for Muslims to grasp and analyze the geographical features of the different places. Their trips throughout the expanded Islamic empire for administrative, military, missionary and trade-related purposes also boosted their geographical awareness.

Being the convergence of all diversities, Hajj offered plenty opportunities for sharing information belonging to different regions.

Arab scholars displayed extraordinary enthusiasm in inquiring geographical books and studies in various languages and translating them to Arabic. They made objective analysis of the rich intellectual legacy of Greece and India. Muslims learned about Ptolemy's geographical studies and research and they absorbed geographical observations in Aristotle's works and acquired command over Greek geometry and Persian descriptive geography. Ma'moon, Islamic Caliph of the Abbasid dynasty, took special interest in geographical studies. He arranged 70 scholars for preparing an extended version of World map which was later (after him) named and became famous as Mamuni map. Muhammad Bin Moosa Al Qawarsmi, the distinguished author of the famous geographic work 'Description of inhabited countries' was one of them. He has not only improved Ptolemy's map and descriptions but also marked the geographical positions of the places he visited. Abul Hasan A masoodi who had a glimpse of this map described it as more accurate than Ptolemy's one.

AlKindi and Ahmed Zarkashi have authored some geographical works. Astronomical writings of Abu Abdillah Al Bakthani, Abul Abbas al Fargani, and Ibnu Yunus contained valuable geographical observations. Geographical studies assumed larger momentum during 4-6 centuries of Hijra. This awakening was facilitated by scholarly discoveries and researches, conducted on various part of the world, built on the studies of predecessors in the field. Muslim scientists were also able to widen the horizon of geographical inquiry which was followed by the voluminous contributions by Muslim geographers and travelers.

Cloning and Holy Qura'n

The discoveries of modern science is underlining the matters which the holy Quran had proclaimed 1400 years ago. Dr. Balakrishnan writes in the books "Heredity and Cloning", published by Kerala Language Institute in 1999: "Everybody knows the common way of re-production and growth. But even scientists were ignorants of the fact that both man and woman have equal share in the sexual reproduction"
Till recent years science kept on saying that human beings were created only from male sperms. The Quran has taught 1400 years before, that both male and female have roles in the root cell of the infant. Revealing the new scientific truth that the offspring is born from the zygote created out of the joining of ovum and sperm.

Holy Qur'an says: Indeed, we have created man from 'Nuthfathun Amshaj' in order to him. Thus we made him able to hear and see."What does 'Nuthfathun Amshaj' mean? Nutfathun Amshaj is the liquid mixture of both ovum and sperm. This is the meaning given by famous interpretators of the holy Quran such as Ikrima, Mujahid, Hasan, Rabee' etc (May Allah mercy upon them). The following Hadith will clearly illustrate the above mentioned idea. "Once a Jew was walking beside our Prophet (Peace be upon him). The Prophet (PBH) was talking to his followers at that time. Then the Quraish told to the jew. "Oh, Jew, this man argues that he is a Prophet." At that time the jew said: "I will ask him about a matter, which nobody other than a Prophet will be able to understand". Then he came to the Prophet (PBH) and asked "Oh, Muhammad, Out of what does human beings is created? "O Jew, he is created out of both; the male cell and female cell" Our beloved Rasul (PBH) replied. It is not a challenge at all, that a cloning baby was born among human beings, instead it emphasizes some statements made by the Quran. It does not pose a challenge to any theory or principle of Islam. The Quran teaches by citing the instances of the birth of both prophet Isa (PBH) and Prophet Adam (PBH) that creation of man without male and female intercourse and mixture of sperm and ovum is not impossible: Quran says:

Allah, created Adam (PBH) without having father and mother just as he created Prophet Isa (PBH) without father. Lets say that this is a cloning made by the creator of the universe. The evolutionary creation of Adam (PBH) from clay can be described as cloning only figuratively. But what about the creation of prophet Isa from Maryam? If splitting birth and growth can be called cloning, then this also can be called as cloning.

Now lets see another cloning in Qura'n. Taking a part from the body of Adam, Allah created Hawwa, the first woman and second human being. If regeneration and physical birth can be called cloning this definitely can be called cloning. Holy Qura'n says about this "O mankind, you fear Allah, who created you from the same person and spread many men and women from both of them".

This cloning was done from the rib of Adam (Allah Mercy upon him). Allah had made him sleep in order not to feel the pain to him. Both Bukhari and Muslim have reported the statement of the prophet that woman was created from a rib. But no fault or weakness can be seen in the cloning of the creator, as it can be seen in the cloning of man. Imam Razi says: To create all human beings from a man is an evidence for the excellence of the creation of Allah. If the creation was just because of nature, all human beings would have become same in shape and physical features. We can see that there are different types of human beings such as black, white, red, brown, handsome, ugly looking, long, short etc. So this diversity is an evidence for the fact that their creator and controller is an independent worker and not a machine or nature. Now it became very evident that this creator is an almighty and all-knowing one. Thus it is obvious that it is our duty to abide by his rules and orders.

The holy Qura'n has mentioned about a cloning which is going to happen. This cloning is the resurrection of man from a cell of his body which remains in the earth after it became part of the soil from which he was created. The summary of this happening can be read in Holy Qura'n as follows:

We created you from the earth. We will return you to it; and from it itself we will bring you back.

Just as the seeds of plants take their birth when suitable occasion comes, man resurrects himself from a single cell, kept by Allah from millions of cells. Both low and high temperature prevent the regeneration and growth of seeds. When the seeds, which were lying inactive in the absence of moisture, come to life when they get water. Allah says: 'You can see the earth lying dry and stubble. But when we shower rain on it, it will rejoice, develop and produce all magnificent plants". Actually who creates the sperm? It is nobody but Allah, the Almighty. The creator who can create the living objects from living objects and non-objects from living objects.

Qura'n says "Allah is the one who splits the seeds of dates and the sperms of grains. Indeed, he brings back living things from the dead ones, and the dead ones from the living things. Then how do you guide astray?

This is same with the case of the resurrection of man. The micro cell of the body remains for millions of years in the earth. Then at the time of resurrection there showers a drizzling. Thus happens the growth of the cell. When Israfeel (May Allah Mercy upon him) makes the call for resurrection as per the order of Allah, man states to resurrect. The prophet says: "Allah showers a drizzle when all people die due to the first call in 'Soor'. Then starts the sprouting of human beings. Then with the second call, all stand and gaze each other. "Just see the consequences of the blessings of Allah. How does he make the earth active after it became dead? One who does it can enliven the dead ones. Indeed, he is the Almighty who is powerful to do anything".

According to the science, it is not implausible to surest a cell after lying inactive for millions of years. The seeds and spores can overcome the opposite circumstances when favorable occasion comes. Thus truth has been recorded by Encyclopedia Britanica as follows: (There are seeds and spores that remain, so far as is known, perfectly dormant and totally without metabolic activity at low temperatures for hundreds, perhaps thousands of years.)

The emergence of genetic science elucidates this principle of resurrection a bit more through the technique of science. We have already mentioned that after the death of man, a very small part of his body will remain without decay. It is from this part of body that his resurrection and re-organisation occure . The prophet says: Everything from the body of a man will decay except a bone. The part which will not undergo decay is 'Ujbudhanab'. The prophet was asked "O the messenger of Allah, what is Ujbudhanab?. He replied: It is mustard like part of the body". It is the minute part of the bone on the bottom of the back bone. In animals its position is on the top end of the tail. It is just like the creation of a tree from a spore or that of a man from a single cell. In the term of cloning of modern science, this resurrection is the cloning of a man from a single cell. The gist of what we have described so far is that the birth of an infant without the mixture of sexual cells is not a challenge to Holy Qura'n or the religion or ideology which holy Qur'an represents. At the same time the question whether cloning is allowed or not, is another discussion.

The way Qura'n opened

The very first word by which Quranic revelation is started is 'Iqra' which means read. The first tool that mentioned is pen. Who said this powerful comment of reading? Was it a principal of renowned college after his retirement? Was it a famous scientist after any memorable achievement? Was it a well known philosopher after having promoted in to any greater position?
Nay! It was an illiterate! He ordered so after having visited a cave. It was in a mountain called 'Jabalunnoor. Where the Jibril (A) came and asked him to read, he informed about his illiteracy. When the angel repeated his comment, he replayed the same. The comment came thrice and so was the reply. Then it was revealed. "Read in the name of your Lord, He created the man from 'Alaqa (clot). Read. Your lord is most generous he taught with pen".

History records how the irresistible strength of the command 'read' had changed the Arab people, Prophet (Peace be upon him) taught his followers to gain knowledge as the compulsory responsibility of each Muslim and asked them to gain knowledge even by going to China. The condition that he placed to free the prisoners of war was that at least ten of the followers should be taught how to read and write. By this, Prophet (P.B.H) was democratizing literacy (the ransom that Prophet decided for enemies in the battle of Badar was to teach ten Muslims how to read and write).

The divine voice 'Iqra' that aroused the Prophet (Peace be upon him) from his meditation in the cave of Hira formed the corner stone of a new civilization. The people who sang holding the rein of camel "qifa nabki min dikra habibin va manzili'' (stop, let us lament in the memory of the beloved standing near her worldly ruins) Began to pray "God, may our knowledge be enhanced (Rabbi zidni Ilman) Love, intoxication, horse, beauty and tribal vengeance disappeared from their imagination. Their thoughts were centered on the circumference of earth and distance between stars. The Greek language which was the language of their culture till then was obscured in no time by their language. The Intellectual splendor of Rome and Persia began to burnout in front of the Arabs.

What happened between 6 A.D and 12 A.D in the history of Arabs is amazing. Let us listen to the words of famous scientist and historian George Sartan:" It is in Arabic that most fundamental and ideologically rich books were written. Arabic was the language of science for the human race between the half of eight century to the end of the eleventh century. During that period, if one needed to acquire the very recent and new knowledge, he would have learn Arabic. Hence, we can remember a few great geniuses who had no equals in the western world like Jabir bin Hayyan, Al kharizmi, Al Masudi, Thabari, Abulwafa, Albiruni etc. there is no difficulty in lengthening this list to any extends. If any one tells you that middle age was barren in the field of science just tell them the names of these people. They all lived in the short period between 750 and 1100 A.D.

Books on the Camel back

To taste the reformation that Islamic culture made in the Arabs it is necessary to know about 'Baithul Hikmah' (House of wisdom), the science study centre established by Abbasid khalif Maumun in Baghdad. Khalifa set aside two hundred thousand Dirham of that time (equal to 7 million Dollars or more) for the construction of this study centre which included observatory and library. Different linguistic experts were appointed in the Baithul Hikma. Books related to all fields of knowledge were collected there (as much could be borne by 100 camels). Works from languages like pahlavi, Sanskrit, Greek, Kaldiyan and Suriyani were translated to Arabic from this centre.

Dr. Gustave Le Bon writes: 'In those days when books and libraries meant nothing to Europeans. Many Islamic lands had books and libraries in plenty. Indeed, in Baghdad's 'House of wisdom' there were four million volumes, and in Cairo's Sultanic library one million, and in the library of Syrian Tripoly three million volumes; while in Spain alone under Muslim rule there was an annual publication between 70 and 80 thousand volumes.(Dr.GustaveLe Ban, History of Islamic and Arab civilization vol. All branches of science, from science of planets to the science of medicine grew and spread in the Islamic civilization. Muslims were able to achieve amazing progress in the area of knowledge within short period.

The question is this: How became it possible for those who were looking for rhyming words to describe the intoxicating beauty of their beloveds, to explore the principle of numbers? Those who proclaimed the tribal pride by reddening their swords with blood, (We went with white swords but returns with red ones' says a poet) who come there brave enough to suggest corrections on theory of Aristotle and Euclid?

Flood of light

It was the word murmured by Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) for twenty three years that transformed the Arabian subcontinent as if by the power of magic. Those were not the words of the Prophet's own brain. The Prophet performed a mission that was impossible for an individual to do who had no background of religion and education in those days of Arabian situation. It is obvious that the light of oracle appeared in the Cave of Hira. The prophet (PBH) luminated Arabia like the spark of lightning that falls from the sky. Let me quote here, the beautiful words of Thomas Carl'laine. "That was the transformation of Arabs from darkness to light for the Arabian land. It was though that, Arabia gained life for the first time. Since the beginning of the world, the poor shepherds wandered along the deserts without attracting anyone's attention. A heroic Prophet (PUH) was sent to them with words credulous to them. Look, world attention turned on the till ignored, the small grew big as the world. After that, within a century Arabia stands shining in a major part of the world in courage, pride, genius and wisdom from Granada on one end and to Delhi on the other end. Belief with desire is life giving. With belief, the history of a nation is blossomed genius, spiritual elevation and nobility. These Arabs and the man named Muhammad (PHB) wasn't it like a spark of fire fallen upon an infinite and dark world? But, look; that enflames till the sky like the exploded gun powder from Delhi to Granada. I said: Great soul was always like the lightning that comes from the sky and others stood awaiting for that noble personality. Like fuel waiting for fire, for them too, to turn into flames.

In what all things did Qura'n which set down in the desert like the lightning spark through Prophet Muhammad (PBH) opened eyes of the inhabitants there? Only a few instances from the hundreds of verses in Qura'n will be enough to get the answer for this. The holy Qur'an attracts the attention of the Arabs to the camels, sky, mountains and the positions of the earth.

"Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? And at the heaven, how it is raised? And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? And at the earth, how it is spread out?" (Holy Qura'n 88: 17-20). Arabs looked at the camel. They began to think how this creature has been created to suit the climatic condition of the desert. They thought about its ability to store water as fats.

They sat looking at the sky to find out direction to make commercial journeys, stars show them the way. They had sung a song about the star called Thurrayya. Still Qur'an asked them to look at the sky. Now they are thinking about how the sky has been raised high. They were able to understand the structure of the sky when they thought about it. Holy Qur'an also inspired them to think about the stars that shine like ornamental lamps in the sky. The summoning was to think about Allah the most high. "Allah is He who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see" (13:2). "Then He Isthawa (turned) towards the heaven when it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth: "Come both of you willingly or unwillingly." They both said: "We come, willingly." Then He completed and finished from their creation (as) seven heavens in two Days and He made in each heaven its affair. And We adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps (stars) to be an adornment as well as to guard (from the devils by using them as missiles against the devils). Such is the Decree of Him the All-Mighty, the All-Knower" (41:11,12).

"And We have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.)"(21:32).

After how long period of time did man understand about the safe shelter that Allah arranged to shield the earth from deadly rays and meteors. What did the mischievous man know when he constructed the multi-storied structures by destroying forest, hence made hole in the ozone layers.

"Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and the earth," (10:101). The holy Qur'an so demanded and questioned endlessly its followers "Are you not thinking?" "Don't you use your brain?"

The Qura'n summoned us to think about infinite facts like the varieties of flora, different languages, about the showers of rain, the alternation of night and day, the voyage of ships; about wind and pollination, about migrating birds who fly without being erroneous in their direction, honey bees who collect honey, the finger prints of man etc., The holy Qur'an explained with scientific precision all the stages in the formation of human infant. The great things that the people of Arabian Peninsula were ignorant off. The holy book was arousing their intelligence along with their soul. The holy Qur'an was opening before them infinite doorways of thought in addition to the powerful revelations regarding the oneness of the lord of the universe and about morality and immortality (life after death).

Earth: Some marks for those who think

" And it is He Who spread out the earth, and placed therein firm mountains and rivers and of every kind of fruits He made Zawjain Ithnain (two in pairs - may mean two kinds or it may mean: of two sorts, e.g. black and white, sweet and sour, small and big, etc.) He brings the night as a cover over the day. Verily, in these things, there are Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.) for people who reflect. And in the earth are neighboring tracts, and gardens of vines, and green crops (fields etc.), and date-palms, growing out two or three from a single stem root, or otherwise (one stem root for every palm), watered with the same water, yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat. Verily, in these things, there are Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs) for the people who understand" (13: 3, 4).

"Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding" (20: 53, 54).

"And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful" (16: 14). How could not the people who daily recite in the Qura'n about the plants, mountain, rivers, ocean and the creatures living in it, learn the geography, marine science, zoology and botany?

An orbit for each planet

The Holy Qura'n beckoned the Arab into the inner fields of astronomy. "Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding" (3: 190).

"And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. So that they may eat of the fruit thereof and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw there from the day, and behold, they are in darkness. And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit" (36: 34-40). "And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating" (21:33).

It is natural that the University of the Muslim Scientists was aroused by the hints they got about the floating orbit from the holy Qur'an. How were all these planets made? How did life evolve? There is no evidence of the shepherds of holy Makkah and Yathrib (the holy Madina) thinking about these subjects. The Qura'n told them an amazing secret about the origin of the universe.

"Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?" (21:30).

Today we understand the great explosion that was ominous for the formation of universe. We also realize that there was only one gas before the creation of the universe. Qur'an says: "it was smoke' (41: 11).

Expanding Universe

Caravans of Merchants rested in the oasis. When holy Qur'an flowed into their tents what they heard was about the expanding universe. They know the movements of planets, solar system, milky ways, galaxies, the increasing distance between the stars and the universe is expanding. They heard all through the holy Qur'an. "With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof "(51: 47).

The idea of the expanding universe enlarged the horizon of its knowledge. The realm of their knowledge was expanding with the Qura'n. Man, you were nothing! Is it the fate of man, only to be born, live die and be finished? Did the residues of the unknown time tell the Arab anything about this?

Philosophical doubts never came in the classical Arabic poetry before Prophet. The Wilderness and the ordinariness of the desert were the themes of the seven poems. They melted the hearts by the heat of love.

They were thrown into another world by the arrival of the Prophet. Qura'n whispered in their ears that the man is created from mud and returns to mud. "Thereof (the earth) We created you, and into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you out once again" (20:55).

Which is the way of man from mud to mud? The Arabs, Persians and Syrians who accepted Islam, grasped the details of men's procreation from the holy Qura'n "And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember" (the Grace of Allah) (51: 49).

All living things including men, plants and other things are created in pairs. The followers of Qura'n had realized these facts even before electrons and protons were unknown.

The holy Qura'n has explained all the stages of the livings. For instance you can go through the Qur'anic verses below: "Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was not thing worth mentioning. Verily, We have created man from 'Nutfa' (drops) of mixed semen (sexual discharge of man and woman), in order to try him: so We made him hearer and seer" (76: 1, 2).

"Was he not a Nutfa (mixed male and female sexual discharge) of semen emitted (poured forth)?" (75: 37-39).

"And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a 'Nutfah' (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). Then We made the 'Nutfa' into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation . So Blessed is Allah, the Best of creation" (23: 12-14).

The revelation in the Cave of Hira which made a good beginning with the command 'Read' unveiled the way in which the most beautiful creature was made out of nothingness. Literally it changed a group of people. They later wrote down their names in big letters within many branches of science. This is the story of the people who were nothing but achieved everything. A mysterious historical experience.

All under your Reign

Hey men, who feared the sun, moon, stars and other natural phenomena like wind, thunder, rain etc. as their god, they are not your boss; in turn everything in the sky and earth dependent on you, the Qura'n so taught them. Qur'an washed away the primitive darkness that got cumulated in the human intellect who lived by worshipping the wind and rain, and seeing the nature's wrathful expressions. It was from the realization that Allah was taming the sun, the moon, the night, the day, the sea and the rivers for man that the Islamic scientific civilization took its birth. These are some of the lines that got into the Arab consciousness like sparkles of lightning: "And He has subjected to you the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; and stars ared subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand" (16: 12).

"Can't you see that Allah has subjugated everything in the earth for you? (He has subjugated) the ship that sail in the sea only according to his command. He has held the heavenly world from falling on the earth without his permission. Of course Allah is very generous and kind towards man" (Qur'an)

"Allah is He Who has created the heavens and the earth and sends down water (rain) from the sky, and thereby brought forth fruits as provision for you; and He has made the ships to be of service to you, that they may sail through the sea by His Command; and He has made rivers (also) to be of service to you. And He has made the sun and the moon, both constantly pursuing their courses, to be of service to you; and He has made the night and the day, to be of service to you" (14: 32, 33).

"And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favour and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply" (45:13).

"And Who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride" (43: 12-14).

Muslims murmuring the same prayer sitting in motorcycles, cars and in aero planes and praise the lord of the universe who tamed the untamable. When Qur'an was introduced as the wisdom of light, the curtain of fear and doubt disappeared and the followers of Qura'n became the bearers of knowledge. Science to be flexible to them like gooseberry on inner palm! Those who knew only to tame the camel and horse became the mahouts of mathematics and astronomy. Holy Qur'an, the source of wisdom, made them capable of it. History itself is the witness to this. Qur'an was in fact paving the way to the continent of knowledge from the continent of ignorance.

Sufism and Islam

Man was created with the aim of worshipping the creator, Allah by submitting everything to him alone. "Praise your lord, the great. He is the one who created and arranged everything in order. (H.Q. 87:2). Qur'an in the chapter 51: 56 says the ultimate aim of the creation of man, is to worship Allah knowing him. Allah gave him infinite blessings in the field of men's creation, growth, development, elevation, achievement etc., To thank one who blessed is one of the responsibility of man. In that respect it will not be enough how much one thanks Allah for his blessings. Worships are intimations of that gratitude. This gratitude will not be enough through how much it is expressed. Still his presence should be made sure by worshipping him as if he is seen. This can be achieved only through the purification of the soul.
All qualities like good character, polite, respect, devotion etc, depend upon the soul. Body is only its carrier. When the soul is purified then the body turns good. When one stays away from the desires and wishes of the soul and saves the soul from the evils then its goodness is expressed through the organs like ears, eyes, hands, legs etc. Hence in holy Qur'an the need for the purification of the soul is stressed in many places. Allah clearly shows the soul the good way and the bad. And he intimates that those who have achieved 'thazkiyath' (Purification of heart) by accepting the right path and giving up the bad have succeeded. 'Truth is one who has created men's souls and arranged it in order. He makes the soul feel the bad instincts and the piety. It is definite that he who purified his soul has succeeded and the one who is immersed in evil ways has failed. (Qur'an 91:9)

Allah entrusted Prophets to remove people from all evil ways and to do purification. Allah describing the aim of prophet's entrustment says in holy Qur'an (3: 164). "Allah has certainly blessed the faithful people when he appointed a Messenger from among themselves." The Prophet recites His illustrations to the people and purifies them and teaches them the book and the philosophy. 'Truly, they were in obvious darkness. When the heart is purified then that refinement is fruitful. Men reaches the steps of elevation and purification through self refinement in different parts of holy Qur'an there is description about the attributes of heart like fear, piety, regret, hope, desire, love, humbleness, gentleness etc. Man becomes good only when he makes his heart good by inculcating those teachings. It is that mission that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) performed. If we examine any of the advices of the Prophet (PBH) we can see only those who could raise the humanity to the pinnacle of spiritual progress.

As an example let us see this:
In the books of traditions there is the incident of the angel Gabriel's arrival in the form of man to teach religious matters to the Prophet (PBH), while he sits with his Companions. That incident is described by Bukhari and Muslim. Gabriel who sat beside the Prophet enquired about matters like 'Iman and Islam'. The Prophet (PBH) taught him all that. Then his next question was on 'Ihsan'. 'Ihsan' or sincerity is a necessary quality that a person who prepares to do the duties of Islamic religion and believe in the six things should have.
Prophet's reply to the question regarding it was like this.
"You should pray to Allah as if you see him. If you don't see him then you should assume that he sees you." The reverent Prophet teaches two things. One: Worship should be by seeing the lord in front. If a master is attending then there will be sincerity in the work of a servant. In the same way, if we salute Allah by seeing him in front it will be innocent. Ordinary people are in capable of this finite expression. The second is for those who cannot get the elevated position or to worship in the assumption that the owner, Allah is looking and attending. The heart shines with devotion if one has this assumption.

'There is a piece of meat in the body. If it is becomes good then the whole body turns good. If it is polluted then the whole body will be ruined. Know, it is the heart' (Bukhari). Certainly, God will not look into your body or form. In turn he looks into your heart. (Muslim) In short, how you shrink to get into the midst of people wearing dirty cloths in the same way you should feel ashamed to approach Allah with a polluted heart. The Prophet refined his Companions - his disciples- by taking hold of their hearts. There is no need to give special inspiration for worldly things and to prepare dishes of life. For man is naturally prepared for that. But inspiration and advice has to be given continuously for spiritual enrichment. It is those concepts that we see in the advices and writings of reverent Prophet (PBH) In that respect Prophet has given many advices to get spiritual enlightenment through purification of the heart.

One becomes a complete Muslim if only he gives up what ever is not needed for him. Move towards that is not doubtful as being good or bad. Love, hatred etc only for Allah… like this, prophet has stated many suggestions for purification of the heart. The heart gets eternal peace if only the success in the other world is made sure. And that too cannot be made sure till we cross the bridge 'sirathu' that is constructed over the hell. Hence Mu'ad bin Jabal (May Allah Mercy upon him) says that the heart of a true believer would be filled with fear of Allah. Great souls like the Companions of our beloved Messenger of Allah, the followers of his Companions etc, were devotees who had imbibed these excellent quality. Aboobaker (R) looking at the bird flying in the sky, said: "If I were like this bird, if I were not created as a human being then I would not have to face the trial in the other world. (Ihya 4: 160) Once, Umar (May Allah Mercy upon him) holding a grass from the land said: "If I were this grass, if mother had not delivered me.. i might be free from the fear the trail. These two lines were clearly visible on the cheeks of khalifa Umar who wept thinking of hell (Ihya 4: 161).

Believers with purified hearts were astonished to hear the warnings regarding the punishments in the other world. It engendered fear and restlessness. One night khalifa Umar (May Allah Mercy upon him) was walking. In a house on the way a man was praying loudly by reciting the holy Qur'an. 'Definitely the punishment from your lord will come. There is nothing to obstruct it' hearing this godly saying umar was frightened and he got down from his vehicle and rested for a while. He returned with a morose heart. And he become bedridden for a month (Ihya 4: 160).

Thasawwuf

There is an assumption that Thasawwuf and Sufism are outside of Islam. Actually, it is sheer ignorance. Sufism is not alien to Islam. Its base was laid down from the revered lord's school. It is evident from the keen study that it is there in holy Qur'an and Sunnah. For, there are many sayings in the holy Qur'an which aims at self refinement, purification of the heart and disinterestedness in worldly affairs. It is the same idea of Purification that Prophet meant by the term 'Islam'. We achieve from 'Thasawwuf' the same that we achieve from 'Thazkiyath' and 'Ihsan'. Really, Sufi ways are of Prophet. But, when sufis failed to attain perfect initiation, they select shortcut. they cannot but it. Because, Prophet is supernatural peerless personality. so, he could.

The famous sufi Abunaser siraj (hijri 378) has explained in his book 'Lumma' that Sufies have accepted Qur'an and underwent to sacrifices to follow the routines of Prophet and they are the successors of the companions and the Thabi'es. He has remarked: The most important peculiarity of Sufies is that they give up unworthy things. They abandon everything that obstructs in attaining the contentment of Allah which is the ultimate aim. Let us see how he says about the fundamental rocks of tolerance that is necessary to nourish this sacrifices: Be enough with the little worldly comfort, consume food in small quantity that is needed to sustain life. Be satisfied in poverty and hate richness, never wish for elevation and position, show unequalled humbleness, Endure sufferings with sacrificing mind. Never yield to the desires of the body and do hard work in worship etc, are the face marks of Sufies (Lumma: 11).

Sufism was born in the Prophet's imaginations. There is nothing in it that is not tested and made sure in the worship of shariath. See what the eminent sufi Imam Quraishi says: "The sum total of Thasawwuf is to live by safe guarding religious rules, and never extend one's hands towards anything that is doubted to be the most evil. Not only that, one should turn one's senses away from the evil things and try even to breath in the way that satisfies Allah" (Risalathul Qushairi 185). Shaikh Jilani (May Allah Mercy upon him) pointing at the essence of sufi teachings said like this: Follow the path of truth. Do not make Bidath. Be in the way, but never get separated. Grasp Thauhid, never do shirk. Accept the truth, never doubt it. Pardon, but never be perplexed. Unite through offerings, never get fragmented! (Futhuhul Ghoib 10). Look at the words of Imam Shadulee too: "Train the body to slavery and bring it to the rule of the lord". In the words of Imam Gazzali (May Allah Mercy upon him) acquiring Thasawwuf, is compulsory for every Muslim. For, except Prophet there is none who is not devoid of frailties and short comings. (Sharh- Al- Hikam, Ibnu Ajiba 1: 7) Let us also see how Imam Gazzali (May Allah Mercy upon him) describe from his experience the spiritual enlightenment that occurred after his contact with the Sufies: "I, in the early years of my life denied the qualities of pious persons and the position of Arifs. Then I met my spiritual teacher Yusufunnasaj. He by great efforts cleared my mind. Many fortunes began to grant my mind. Once I saw Allah in my dream. He commanded me: "Abu hamid, you give up your job. I have assigned in the earth some servants who are under my reign. They have sold this world for my pleasure. Get acquainted with them. I said: Allah, lend me noble thoughts about them. It is the worldly love that keeps you away from them. Return willingly from this world before you have to go from here humiliated. I woke from the dream. I approached the sheikh happily; explained all the incidents. He smiled and said: It has only begun. If our acquaintance gets stronger then your eyes could be sheared with Allah's strength" (Sheikh Siyathu sufia, Abdul Bakhi srurur 154). In short, thasavuf is nothing but suggestions and visions of t he Prophet (P.b.h); the embodiment of eternal love and the furnace of experiment. The slogan is 'heaven and the gratification of the creature'. The aim is the destruction of enemies and throws the devil to the sacrificial fire. There is no place for evils and false customs. Sufies are none but the disciples in the heritage of the Prophet. They do nothing against Islam.

Sufis

If Sufis are the offspring of spiritual vision of the reverent Prophet (PBH) then why did not the Companions accept the name of sufi. The qualities of sufi were most combined in the Companions. Still they were known by the name the Companions. Imam Quraishi's reply for this doubts is this: "The Companions were known by that name as they were the people who were blessed to live with Prophet(PBH) and hence no name could better qualify then than the Companion. Later those who acquainted and lived with the Companions were called the 'Followers' (Thabies) and those who followed them were called the 'Followers of the Followers'(Thabi'a al thabi'a).
Later when such positions could not be given then those who observed the religious matters in more strict ways began to be called 'Zahids' and 'Abids'. In the later period there grew wrath and separatism in the religious field. Each group began to demand claims in the name of 'Zahid'. It is then the great people in the Ahlussunna who were refined at hearts, who even breath for the pleasure of Allah began to be called by the name 'Sufi'. This name got famous even before Hijra 200, for those great souls who had reached the peaks of self refinement (Risalathul qushairi page 7).

Listen to what is said in the 'Muqaddhima' by the famous historian Ibnu Khaldoon. Thasawwuf was later created in the religious knowledge of the society. Sufi style and Thareeqath were prevalent in the life of the eminent forefathers, the Companions, The Followers and religious Imams. It's basis is to undergo sacrifices, to reserve life for Allah and worship. To live disinterested by forsaking worldly pleasures completely and live away from worldly desires, The same was there in the sujabath and salafies. Later when people distanced from this line in the second century and later, those who lived with worship alone began to be called Sufis.

Principles of Sufism

Principles of Sufism is based on two significant and original foundations. These are self struggle (Mujahadah) and eternal love for Allah. Man will become good when he attains purification of the heart. 'Mujahadah' is the sacrifice and struggle to attain that. Masters are those who advice it. The way to self purification is to under internalize the teachings of the Prophet(PBH) through spiritual masters who are known by different names like valiyyers, zahids, Sufies and sheikhs. This fact can be understood by an example: The darkness of dusk is removed with dawn. We see nothing in the night for want of light. Fear of darkness alone remains. In the sunlight we see everything. Still there are many things that escape our naked sight. Things like germs, pest, the little insects etc cannot be seen even in sunlight. But if the sun light is made to fall on a mirror which reflects it such germs could be found out. Similarly the message of the Prophet who is the sun in the family of Prophet recedes the darkness and brightens the mind of Muslim with religious light. Still there are many bacteria and germs that get cumulated in that mind. They are false pride, jealousy, worldly reputation, hatred, anger, revenge etc. They cannot be detected easily. Companions and Thabies by their most fortunate living with the Prophet(PBH) were able to attains it. The easiest way for the followers to detect it and get it cured is to reflect the Prophet's message through the mirror namely spiritual masters. Self refinement could be attained through that philosophy. Let us see a Hadith that inspires the spiritual masters. Anas (May Allah Mercy upon him says: "Prophet(BBH) called me and counseled. If you can live without hating anyone from down to dusk then do it. That is my routine. One who enlivens my routine will reach heaven (Thurmudi).

The Sufi world was able to enliven this sunnah by attaining complete disinterestedness in this world. This routine will not enter into a mind where exists Peoples influence, love for power and worldly love (Awariful Maarif 33). The Picture of Mujahadah who works hard to attain self purity is like this: There are four things which alienate man from Allah. Mind, world, devil and creatures. These four in different ways create obstruction in the path of man's progress. The first stage in the self struggle is to realize that the mind is the first accused one among them in attaining the urge to detect and correct one's own weaknesses. If one successfully face this stage then the devil continuously tries to ruin and exploit him in the successive progress. It is in that situation that one should have the backing of Sheikh. We can see what the famous Sufi thinker Ibnu Ajiba (May Allah Mercy upon him Says: "Those who strive for the right path can shine only through Mujahadah. If the beginning is good then the end also will be good. Only those who abandon laziness and faults and do hard work can hope for success (Ieqadul Himam 2: 370).

The second in the principles of Sufism is the eternal love for Allah. The spiritual teachers 'Murshids' do infinite sacrifices to attain this. They face many trails. Finiteness is one of the important duties of that life. Anyone who studies the life of Sufis and Auliyas is convinced of the fact that they observe minutely the sunnah they have inculcated from the school of Prophet. Some instances: Shibli Nu'amani (May Allah Mercy upon him) (death Hijra 334) was a great Zahid who learnt Sufi philosophy even from Mumbars. When asked his servants about the situation at the time of the death of their teacher 'Shibli' this was the reply: His voice stilled. When the organs became inactive, then he informed in gestures that I should do him ablution. I did him ablution. But I forgot to comb his thick and luxurious beard. Suddenly he grabbed my hands and moved it to his beard. I performed that sunnah for my master (Awarif 317).

Sheikh Jilani (R) bathed forty times in one night. It is an instance of preserving the sunnath. When a great impurity occurs in the night it is not compulsory to take bath. But it is a desirable to do so. It is only compulsory to take bath before Subah prayer. Yet sheikh Jilani (R) bathed soon after he was polluted by semen discharge. Again pollution, again bath. This trial continued forty times. Sheikh won. Sunnahs were observed. Nafisathul Misriyah (R) (Death Hijra 208) was one of the noble person who inculcated spirituality by controlling the body. The life of this noble woman, who was born in holy Makkah, brought up in Madina shareef and migrataed to Egypt, spreads the light of Islam in the people. This noble woman who spent her life in prayers, fast and recitation of Qura'n dug her own grave, sat there and recited the whole Qur'an 190 times. She was fasting when she lay in death bed. When the doctors suggested to break the fast, she responded in this way: "I was praying for the last thirty years to make me die in fasting. Now I have got the opportunity. Then should I break the fast now? Never" (Nurul Abswar).

In brief, Auliyas, Sheikhs and Sufis were not away from the spiritual conception of the Prophet's (PBH); they are more near to him. They were not people who immersed their face in worldly pleasure by including in cheating and stealing. But were people who did self sacrifice. They are not lazy wanders who live away forsaking Voluntary doings and compulsory doings; But suffered hunger and sacrificed sleep for worship.

Islam Is the Code of Life; Prescribed by Allah

Islam is the religion of Allah. Through this he wants to direct man into the Right Path. Unlike other religions, it encompasses and regulates all aspects of human life. A Muslim spends 24 hours of a day in the way of Allah. He reiterates it during his prayer: "My worship, and my sacrifices, and my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the world." This is the proclamation of a Muslim, to which Allah orders. Hence advocating an un-Islamic suggestion means accepting some part of it, and disregarding the rest. Rejecting some part of it means rejecting the entire book. 'What is the reward of those who do so save ignominy in the life of the world? and on the Day of resurrection they will be considered to be the most grievous doom. For Allah is not unaware of what ye do'; Allah says: "Such are those who buy the life of the world at the price of the Hereafter; their punishment will not be lightened, neither will they have support" (Qur'an 2:86).
'Lo! Those who disbelieve, among the people of the scripture and the idolaters, will abide as fire of hell. They are the worst of the created beings' (Qur'an 98:6).

In the light of these verses we can understand how a Muslim should live. All the time the only 'mantra' in his heart will be that of Allah. Such a Muslim cannot sit merely watching obscene play, cinema, or spend his valuable time on entertainment. Allah says; 'such as one who remembers of Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, consider the creation of the heaven and the earth, (and say) our Lord not for naught hast thou created (all) this! Glory to thee! Preserve us from the doom of fire' (Qur'an 3:191). 'Lo! Those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings. Their reward is with their Lord: gardens of eternity, underneath which rivers flow, wherein they dwell for ever. Allah hath pleasure in them and they have pleasure in Him. This is (in store) for him who feareth his Lord' (Qur'an 98:8).

We can see around us people who would Known as Muslims by name, do not have any faith or sign of Islam; they term its rules are orthodox, and want to rewrite, even Qur'an according to the changing world. "But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning) to mislead (men) from Allah and throw ridicule (on the path): for such there will be a humiliating chastisement. When our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if there are he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous chastisement" (Qur'an 31:6-7).

"Of the people there are some who say: "we believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they don't (really) believe. Fain would they deceive Allah and those believe, but they deceive themselves, realize it not! In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease. And grievous is the chastisement they (incur), because they lied (to themselves). When it is said to them: "make not mischief on the earth" they say: "we are only ones that put things right." Of surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realize (it) not. When it is said to them: "believe as the others believe". They say "shall we believe the fools believe? "Nay of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know", (Qur'an 2:8-13).

'Have you seen him who has taken his whims and desires to be his deity? Will you then be his guardian? Do you suppose that most of them hear or understand? They are just like cattle. Indeed they are even more astray! (Qur'an 25: 43-44). Qur'an informs that the hypocrites who deceive Allah and his believers by professing belief and them concealing their efforts to harm believers and to divert from the right path, that their punishment will be even more severe than that of the unbeliever, atheists and irreligious people , for they say lies in the name of Allah and show hypocrisy, insincerity, and dishonesty'. 'The hypocrites are in the deep depth of the Fire. You will not find any one to help them' (Qur'an 4:145). Allah says: 'and When said to him: Be careful of thy duty to Allah, pride taketh him to sin. Hell will settle his account, an evil resting place (Qur'an 2:206).

Blood shed is not a motto but only for self-defense in Islam

This is the age of war-mongers. They are thrilled with unremitting war and creating peace less world. On the name of mass weapon they attacked Iraq. How many children, women and innocent people died, mutilated, raped, brutally killed and dismantled their houses by soldiers and 'peace workers'. Yet, they couldn't justify their end. They were doing the same in Afghanistan, Vietnam and other countries. Now they are chasing Iran. Won't Iran have the right to use nuclear resources for peaceful purposes? No problem if you are a friendly country of the west. Take the case of Israel, who transgresses all limits against Palestine. Yet, poor Palestinians are blamed to be extremists. They are struggling for their life and freedom; not for conquering their neighboring country
Any how, Islam is not a religion of war and never encourages this blood-sucker. In Qur'an there is not even a single verse that orders for war, but for resistance. Allah says: 'Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but do not violate. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors' (2:190). The purpose of Islamic wars was not to convert any one to Islam. Moreover no one can be converted firmly to Islam. Qur'an says: 'there is no compulsion in religion (2:256). So to embrace Islam, one must declare after firmly rooted in his mind that 'No God other than Allah and Muhammad; may peace and grace of Almighty upon him, is His Prophet' such a confirmation will not emerge by being imposed on, but it should derive from conviction. Allah says to the Prophet: 'invite (all) to the way of your lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and discuss with them in ways that are best and most gracious. Your lord knows best, who have strayed from His path; and who receive guidance' (16:125).

In the Quranic Chapter 'Thouba', Allah asks: 'will ye not fight folks who broke their solemn pledges, and purposed to drive out the messenger and did attack you first? What! Fear ye them? Now Allah hath more right that ye should fear Him, if ye are believers' (Qur'an 9:13). Because of these kinds of verses on war in this chapter, Allah decided not to recite this with his names, that mean the most beneficent and the most merciful. From this anybody can understand He does, but gives permission in the critical juncture. Muslim pundits opined that it is unpleasant to begin 'chapter Thouba' with 'bismi' (the beginning verse of all other chapters) even though the recitation was from its middle. Islam may tolerate anything; but it cannot sit in passive against injustice; oppression; and violation of other people's rights. Allah asks: 'how should ye not fight for the cause of Allah and of the feeble among men and of the women and of the children who are crying: Our Lord! Bring us out this town, of which the people are oppressors! Oh, give us from Thy presence! Oh give us from Thy presence some supporter!' (4:75)

All over the world, Non-violence is accepted as the powerful weapon. Without some degree of tolerance the establishment of equality and justice cannot be brought into reality. Tolerance comes from the recognition of the dignity of human beings, fundamental freedom of thought, conscience and belief. As some think tolerance is not means of cowards, It will be the most secure way to tranquility. Mahatma Gandhi used this method and proved to be successful to a great extent in the last century during India's freedom struggle.

'Obey Allah and obey the messenger, and beware (of evil): if ye do turn back, knoe ye that it is Our Messenger's duty to proclaim (message) in the clearest manner' (5:92). 'Unto each community have we given sacred rites which they are to perform; so let them not dispute with thee of the matter, but summon them unto thy lord. Lo! Thou art assuredly on Right Way' (22:67). This is the tolerant attitude of Qur'an. We must foster tolerance through deliberate policies and efforts among all communities. But we cannot accept different beliefs on the name tolerance. By tolerance Islam does not mean the state of religiousness, but the ability to endure all communities, races and nations.

The purpose of the distribution of wealth in Islam

The Distribution of the Wealth is one of the most important and most controversial subjects concerning the economic life of man. Which have given birth to global revolutions in the world of today, and have effected every sphere of human activity from international politics down to the private life of the individual. For many a century now, the question has been the centre not only of fervent debates, oral and written both, but even of armed conflicts. The fact, however, is that whatever has been said on the subject without seeking guidance form Divine Revelation and relying merely on human reason, has had the sole and inevitable result of making the confusion worse confounded.
Before understanding the objects of the distribution of wealth such as we have been able to understand from the Quran, the Sunnah and the Fiqh, we must know about the real nature of wealth and property and certain

fundamentals which have an essential and basic importance with regard to almost every aspect of Islamic economics. They are certain basic principles which one can derive from the Quran, and which distinguish the Islamic point of view in economics from non-Islamic systems of economy. Islam views the economic activities of man as quite lawful, meritorious, and some-times even obligatory and necessary. It approves the economic progress of man.

If we consider the injunctions of the Holy Quran, it would appear that the system for the distribution of wealth laid down by Islam visualizes three purposes:-

a, The establishment of a practicable system of economy:-

The first purpose of the distribution of wealth is that it would be the means of establishing in the world a system of economy which is natural and practicable, and which, without using any compulsion or force, allows every individual to function in a normal way according to his ability, his aptitude, his own choice and liking, so that his activities may be more fruitful, healthy and useful. And this cannot be secured without a healthy relationship between the employer and the employee, and without the proper utilization of the natural force of supply and demand. That is why Islam does admit these factors. A comprehensive indication of this principle is to be found in the following verses:-
"We have distributed their livelihood among them in worldly life, and have raised some above others in the matter of social degrees, so that some of them may utilize the service of others in their work."

b, Enabling every one to get what is rightfully due to him:-

The second purpose of the Islamic system of the distribution of wealth is to enable every one to get what is rightfully his. But, in Islam, the conception and the criterion of this right is somewhat different from what it is in other systems of economy. Under materialistic economic systems, there is only one way of acquiring the right to "wealth" and that is a direct participation in the process of production. In other words:
Only those factors that have taken a direct part in producing wealth are supposed to be entitled to a share "wealth", and no one else. On the contrary, the basic principle of Islam in this respect is that "wealth" is in principle the property of Allah Himself and He alone can lay down the rules as to how it is to be used. So, according to the Islamic point of view, not only those who have directly participated in the production of wealth but those too whom Allah has made it obligatory upon others to help, are the legitimate sharers in wealth. Hence, the poor, the help y, the pampers and the destitute - they too have a right up "wealth". For, Allah has made it obligatory on all those producers of wealth among whom wealth in the first place distributed that they should pass in to them some part of their wealth. And the Holy Quran makes it quite explicit that in doing so they would not be obliging the poor and the need in any way, but only discharging their obligation, for the poor and the needy are entitled to a share in wealth as a matter of rights. Say the Holy Quran:
"In their wealth there is a known right for those who ask for it and those who have need for it."(70:24-25)

In certain verses, this right has been defined as the right of Allah. For example, this verse in connection with harvests:

"and pay what is rightfully due to Him on the day of harvesting".6:141)

The word right in these two verses makes it clear that participation in the process of production is not the only source of the right to "wealth", and that the need and the poor have as good a right to "wealth" as its primary owners. Thus Islam proposes to distribute wealth in such a manner that all those who have taken a part in production should receive the reward for their contribution to the production of wealth, and then all those too should receive their share whom Allah has given a right to "wealth".

c, Eradicating the concentration of wealth:

The third purpose of the distribution of wealth, which Islam considers, to be very important, is that wealth, instead of becoming concentrated in a few hands, should be allowed to circulate in the society as widely as possible, so that the distinction between the rich and the poor should be narrowed down as far as is natural and practicable. The attitude of Islam in this respect is that is has not permitted any individual of group to have a monopoly over the primary sources of wealth, but has given every member of the society equal right to derive benefit from them. Mines, forests, un owned barren lands, hunting and fishing, wild grass, rivers, seas, spoils of war etc. all these are primary sources of wealth. With respect to them, every individual is entitled to make use of them according to his abilities and his labor without any one being allowed to have any kind of monopoly over them.
"So that this wealth should become confident only to the rich amongst you".(1) (59:7)
Beyond this, wherever human intervention is needed for the production of wealth and a man produces some kind of wealth by deploying his resources and labor, Islam gives due consideration to the resources and thus deployed, and recognizes that man's right of property in the wealth produced. Every one shall get his share according to the labour and resources invested by him. Says the Holy Quran.

"We have distributed their livelihood among them in worldly life, and have raised some above others in the matter of social degrees, so that some of them may utilize the service of others in their work". (43:32)

But, in spite of this difference among social degrees or ranks certain injunctions have been laid down in order to keep this distinction within such limits are necessary for the establishment of a practicable system of economy, so that wealth should not become concentrated in a few hands. Of these three objects of the distribution of wealth, the first distinguishes Islamic economy from socialism, the third from capitalism, and the second from both at the same time.

The Religion entitled to be survived

Even though there are many religions in the world, Islam only deserves to be survived up to the end of the universe. It is because of the fact that Islam's prophet is the last prophet (Khatimunnabiyyeen). That means there is no need of a prophet after him.
On the basis of the above mentioned fact, if we examine any religion in the world, we will come to know that only Islam has the right to survive. This is because of the fact that their scriptures and life history of their prophets have not been kept protected. Intellectuals and great thinkers have emphasized this fact. Moreover even the enemies of Islam have admitted this matter. For example if we analyze Qur'an and Bible, we will understand this matter. The present Bible (both Thora and Injeel) is not the words revealed upon Prophet Moosa or Prophet Isa, or is it the

books authored by those prophets or by their contemporaries. The biographies of those prophets were written by someone many years after their death, and also it is not clear whether they were written based on the reports of anyone. The spoke-persons of those religions themselves have admitted that fact. Precisely speaking, Bible doesn't have the authenticity or status of Quran or Hadith. Instead it has the status of some mythologies or fabricated stories. In short the original form of Thorah or Injeel is not available today. Moreover the enumerate Bible is a bundle of contradictions. The words of Bible itself do underline this truth. For instance let's read the fifth book of Moses "Deuteronomy" 34:5 onwards: " So Moses the servant of Lord died there in the land of Moab, according the word of the Lord. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor, but no one knows his grave to this day. When Moses died, he was 120 years old." Look! These are the words taken from the present Bible. How the death of Moses can be mentioned in this book? Actually who wrote these things? Is it Prophet Moses, who died at Movab? So it is obvious that this book was written after many ages from the death of Moses that nobody then was able to locate, the exact place of his grave. In other words, the present Thorah is written and prepared by someone centuries after the real Thorah, revealed to Prophet Moses from Allah, was lost and forgotten by all. The address of its authors is not known even to the Christians or Jews of today.

Let's see another example. " But since then there has not arisen in Israel a Prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, in all the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land"( Deuteronomy 34:10, 11). How can prophet Moses write that a prophet just like Moses didn't come after him? It is not at all possible. In short the Thourath, which is existing today is not familiar to prophet Moosa. The state of Injeel is also the same. There are many evidences for that. For example, the history of prophet Isa being laid on the stone grave after having been crucified, can be seen in the existing Injeel. How does prophet Isa write this history of his crucifixion? "Injeel says: "Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened. when they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers sayings "Tell them, His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept". So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day" (Mathew 2:11-15).

The words "this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day" show that this book was written years after the death of Prophet Jesus. A news had spread among the Jews about the disappearance of the corpse of Prophet Isa from the stone grave after his crucification. The news was that while the guards were sleeping, his disciples stole away the corpse. How can such a news be present in the divine book revealed to Prophet Isa from Allah. It is not at all possible. So it is clear that the present Injeel was written after the loss of the original Injeel and that Prophet Isa has no idea about it. It can be read again at the end of Injeel, "This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true."(John 21:24). The words "We know that his testimony is true" emphasize that the "we" have written this Injeel. These are taken from the different varieties of Injeels approved by the Christian world.

An anatomy of Holy Qur'an and the holy books of other religions also will underline the same fact. Sankaracharyar, himself has admitted that the divine scriptures of Hindus were lost with the fall of the civilization of Sindhu and Harappa and that the Hindu saints regained the Vedas after long meditation. Kesari A Baalakrishna Pillai says that we have got only some parts of Adharwa Veda. In short, all other religions except Islam, have no basic divine document. As a result those religions do not have the right to survive till the day of judgment. Islam is entirely different. Its holy book didn't undergo any change or defeat. It is the words of Allah, the Almighty. The words or deeds of the prophet Mohammed (PBH) or his followers are not added to it. Even Prophets' own words are not seen in it. The Prophet himself has made his followers write the Qur'an in order not to meet any fault in it-in the future. Even the enemies of Qur'an have admitted this fact. Apart from keeping it written Prophet (PBH) and his followers kept it memorized to ensure its protection. Even today many people keep the Qur'an memorized. This kind of a protective wall cannot be seen in the case of other divine books.

Some fundamental matters are indispensable for any religion to survive till the end of the world, such as the existence of the complete history of the prophet including his words, deeds and teachings, having solution in the divine books for all the problems of the human life, giving clear and definite explanation about Allah and the hereafter life etc. These attributes cannot be seen to any religion except Islam. That is why we say that only Islam has the right to survive till the day of judgment. Why the holy books and biography of the prophets of other religions have some defects? Is it because of the failure of the prophets? Definitely not. Allah has given such a temporary status to their organizations and propagation. They were purely transient. Allah, the Almighty decided to change the laws in accordance with the standard of man in each epochs, not basically. It was to centuries which are at the peak of the intellectual advancement of man, that Allah sent our prophet Mohammed (PBH). Allah, decided to perfect Islam through our prophet. It was his intention to remain it practicable and new for all ages. Consequently his biography was kept protected without any defect. The Qur'an which was revealed to him remained unchanged. The mistake happened to Jews and Christians is that they stuck to the old laws and principles without getting ready to embrance the new religion.

Christians admit that Jews went astray because they didn't believe in Jesus. Actually Christians also derailed due to the same reason as they didn't believe in the prophet who came after Jesus. Hindus and others also did the same mistake. They didn't believe in the last prophet. Moreover their religions were not kept protected without any alteration. The Qur'an undoubtedly proclaims that Islam is the only religion accepted by Allah, the Almighty. It is not possible to interpret it wrongly.

The prophet Muhammad (PBH) submitted the actual figure of Islam with only twenty three years. Islam put forward not only the principles, but the practical shape also. The prophet displayed his followers as models of real religion by Islamizing them completely from hair to toe. Otherwise the religions principles won't have eternal survival. The principle will be misread in accordance with the desires, interest group will rise to occasion. Experiences and permanent ways of actions cannot be misread in such a way.

This is why it took twenty three years to perfect Islam through the Holy Qur'an and showed a way of practicing it. There was nothing un-Islamic in the followers of our Prophet. Quran has proclaimed in more than one place that they are the best models of Islam. It was in the same manner that they were introduced in the prophecies made by the earlier prophets. Torah says: He came from the presence of thousands of blessed ones. He had a fire-like Scripture in his right hand. Yes; He loves the people. All his blessed ones are sitting in the holy hand 33/2,3).

After the demise of the prophet, the four holy Caliphs handled the Islamic regime with almost honesty. Nobody in the world has questioned their honesty so far. There was a very large empire under their dominance. There was nothing un- Islamic in that Islamic empire. The judges and rules implemented at that time were only Islamic principles. Thousands of scholars and millions of followers were alive at that time. It is not possible to understand Islamic Sharia (laws) without analyzing the stand taken by those rulers and judges on Islamic Sharia. The laws prevailing at that time are the real Islamic laws. If anybody brings an argument unfamiliar to the ages of Prophet(PBH) or four rightly guided caliphs, it should be rejected as it is out of circle of Islamic Sharia.

The great Imams are the scholars who collected the judgments and decisions at the ages of the rightly-guided caliphs. After collecting them they scrutinized and recorded them. Imam Malik (R) collected and recorded the judgments of the judges sitting at the holy city of Madina, the then headquarters of Islamic empire. Imam Abu Haneefa (R) traveled in Bagdad and Damascus and meeting with the judges of those princes he recorded the laws of Islamic Sharia after a thorough and in depth study. Imam Shafi(R), after traveling and residing at various centers like Bagdad, Makkah, Madina, Egypt etc, consolidated the judicial procedures and Islamic legal measures prevailing in those centers based on his minute observation.

Imam Shafi (R) has made a comprehensive study of the collections of Imam Malik (R) and Imam Abu Haneefa (R). Imam Ahmad, who was a disciple of Imam Shafi (R), has imbibed the knowledge of all the three above mentioned scholars after learning all their collections. All these great Imams had recorded the words and deeds of the prophet. After the era of the rightly-guided caliphs Islamic empire was ruled by Umayyads, Abbasids and Turks, who followed the same, above mentioned Islamic sharia to a great extent in their administration. There was no change in the Islamic Sharia according to the change of the rulers traditionally. Muslim world followed the principles and laws of the ancient Muslims of the best ages. Nobody could alter these principles and laws but, it will withstand all the stresses and strains of the span of time.

In Islam, there is no room for the misinterpretation of the Qur'an, Hadith or other Islamic principles. For example, matters like marriage, divorce, inheritance etc have occurred thousands of times during the time of the Prophet and his followers. What stand they had taken in those occasions is the actual Islamic laws. It is not possible to misread or misinterpret the Qur'an or Hadith against those principles. Islam has such a foundation based on the experiences and activities. We cannot see this kind of a foundation or basic document in any religion other than Islam.
